The climate of Formentera is characterized by high but mild temperatures and a long summer season where it hardly ever rains.

Due to its flat orography it is also an island affected by the wind with predominately northern winds (tramontana) especially in winter.

The average year round temperature is about 18 C. although during the summer months it could easily reach 30 C. During the winter months the temperature usually stays mild and there are many sunny winter days.

With its geography and small expanse of land, it is easy to imagine that the climate is the same all over the island and that there is hardly any difference in the temperature. However, the amount of rain does vary and La Mola, which receives more rain, has registered up to 440 mm. in one year.

The average amount of rain is the lowest of all of the Balearic Islands and during the summer months there could be no rain at all.

The ideal climate the island of Formentera, is another attraction of the many visitors to our hotel in Formentera.
